Why is this teacher talking about an old mathematician? I’m not even sure who Pythagoras was, never mind his theorem. The textbook says he was born in Greece and travelled to Egypt and Italy. Imagine sailing all over the Mediterranean Sea! That’d definitely be more fun than a maths class. It says he studied mysticism and music too. Maybe there’s more to this than just triangles after all. Okay, so the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the square of the other two sides…
