Cultural Enigma ❇1

In 1862 Henry David Thoreau said, ‘In Wildness is the preservation of the world’. More than a century later, urban dwellers know all too well the urge to escape their noisy cemented habitat and sit in nature, even if for a few minutes. The intentional cultivation of miniature wilderness such as quiet gardens, bird sanctuaries, and open spaces elevates mood, cognitive function, and general well-being. It might also save urbanites from themselves.
